A tourism cluster can be created by linking Jeollanam-do's aerospace theme park plan with the Naro Space Center and Namyeol Beach, and strong synergy is expected because the site adjoins the Goheung Woori Marine Resort Special Zone. With the opening of sea-crossing bridges between Yeosu and Goheung and its location on the west and south coast ring road route, improved accessibility is expected to generate strong visitor traffic. The planned development scale is about 100 berths, with 50 on the water and 50 on land. Fishing is not allowed around the marina construction site.
The area has clear maritime-climate characteristics, with many warm-temperate plants. The annual average temperature is 13.5°C, the January average is 1.2°C, the August average is 25.8°C, and annual precipitation is 1,452.4 mm.
